What is the Zaffa?
A Zaffa is the traditional Bride and Groom entrance into a wedding, they are accompanied by the drummers who will perform a traditional or modern style show. As different countries have different styles of Zaffa and attire, we have brought the traditions of back home to the UK. The Zaffa creates an amazing atmosphere for yourselves and your guests, we welcome guests to join in with the Zaffa and chant along or drum with our performers.
What is the Dabka?
The Dabka is a traditional Arab Folk Dance, it is usually referred to as a Dabke or Dabkah, it involves a group of performers dancing together in line or around a circle. There are many different styles of Dabka and the most popular being the Lebanese or Palestinian Dabka where you get a mix of tradition and modern style dancing. Some guests like to include a drummer or two with the Dabka performance to escalate the atmosphere in the venue.
What is the Tanoura Dance?
The Tanoura Dance, is a dance which goes back centuries, mainly seen in North Africa and the Khaleej it has now been adapted and performed in many more arab countries, it involves a male or female dancer in a huge weighted skirt to whirl around to a number of traditional songs, in the UK we have adapted the Tanoura to include LED’s and a Light show which have the WOW factor within any event.
